All my contacts are in the 8700G but any "find" gives the result *no addresses* using BES with Outlook/exchange - thanks

Not sure what you're doing! There's no FIND function in the address book, and the Search applet uses SEARCH, not FIND.

If you're using the SEARCH applet, the TEXT field will scan all the text in a contact EXCEPT the name.

To search for a name, you'd enter it in the NAME field, but why you'd need that I'm not sure since you could just type that in the address book list to bring it up!

The LOOKUP function in the address book will only work against the Exchange Global Address Book, and only work on the name (spelled correctly!).

Thanks for the reply - the key flow is: Open Address Book and at the top of the screen is the word Find. Underneath is a list of my contacts. When I type in ANY letter next to the word Find I get *No addresses*

I can scroll through my contacts but I can't use Find to lookup anyone

I have no filters in place

Thanks
