We run our own BES and we have a number of BBerry 6280 models which we pass out to our clients upon their request. I was recently given a BBerry 7250 which a user purchasd out of pocket and now wants it on our network. This Blackberry is not only a different model than the ones we use bit the SIM card belongs to a different wireless network than we run off of.
After fighting for a while to get the thing activated, I plugged the BBerry into the server, generated the encryption key, turned on wireless reconciliation, and the email messages began to flow freely onto the device. The device cannot send a message, however. Each message that the device attempts to send, internally or externally, has a number of alphanumeric characters before and after the email address. Our mail server kicks this back to the user as an undeliverable, stating that there is no email account for user
oPKmt58Gyh. I'm not sure if there is some sort of encryption that I don't know about that is activated on this thing or if there is some service book that I need to nuke, but I have no idea how to get this device to send messages. We run Lotus Notes on a Windows box for our BES server. If anyone needs more information or has any ideas, just let me know. Thanks for any help that anyone can provide!
