Default Question about Amazon's 7800g offer

Please Login to Remove!

Amazon has a promo were the phone is essentially free with a 2-year contract. The plan is for 1000 minutes and unlimited email @ 59.99, yet there is no mention of Internet, nor is there an option to sign up for it. Is it included?

I would write an email to their customer service. You would get a faster and more direct answer.

I purchased my 8700g from amazon. Their plan is the unlimited email and data plan plus 1000minutes (no nights and weekends). You also get unlimited text messages.

So, to answer your question - yes, its unlimited email and data.

How was your experience with the Amazon offer? I'm looking at doing the same thing. What's the catch? Just filling out rebates?

I was going to purchase mine through amazon, but I was already a TMO subscriber and that deal is only good with new subscribers.

I would have closed my account and open a new one, but the current cell number was too important to lose.

So, TMO gave me an option to buy the 8700g upgrade for $249.

Great phone/PDA/etc...!

I had a fantastic experience....quick two day shipping which is free (you just pick the two day shipping at checkout and it'll make it free - one of amazon's perks for all their phones), etc. As for the rebates, theres only one in this case - it used to be two when the 8700g was more expensive on amazon, but now that its $50 with a $50 rebate, its only one rebate. If its an amazon rebate you'll need the packing slip and you do the rebate online. if its a t-mo rebate, you'll do the paper format, with the UPC IMEI barcode, etc..

The only thing that I have heard that snags people about going with t-mo is porting in their number...however, if you search for "t mobile porting numbers" you'll see a link i posted about how amazon handles porting. essentially, for t-mo, AFTER you get your phone you call t-mo to port in the number you want.

I would definitely suggest going with amazon, as I havent found it cheaper from any reliable source.
