I pulled the battery from my 4 month old 8700c tonight, and it has a white sticker that indicates that it is pregnant?

There is also a small white square sticker on the BB that is still white.
The BB has not been exposed to water, or worn while mowing yard, etc, just the normal hot humid conditions here in AR.
I am assuming that the red line on the battery indicates exposure to water.
Why would the battery indicate water while the BB does not?

There's usually only one water damage indicator sticker under the battery, on the back of the phone. There's no water damage sticker on the battery. Mine also has a red stripe.

My battery has the same thing... and i know it hasn't been exposed to water...

IIRC, the sticker with the red stripe on the battery is a battery short or battery damage sticker. I had a SE T637 that had tea spilled on it, it had a sticker on it with some red hash marks (similar to the BB battery w/the stripe). Anyhow, after the phone shorted out due to the tea, the sticker on the battery was completely black. I compared it against a battery I have from another *working* T637. So, I believe the sticker indicates if the battery has been damaged. Red is good in this case... black is bad.

As for the water-damage sticker on the BB itself, apparently it is a little white square on the 8700c, located just below the external antenna jack under the battery cover (lower left corner).
