Default My BB thinks I'm Canadian?

Please Login to Remove!

I have had my 8700c from Cingular for about three months now and I have noticed most website I go to say something like "GOOGLE Canada" or will have adds for Rogers Telecom or something (which I guess is a big cell phone carrier in Canada). Why does my browser think I am from Canada (I live in Atlanta, Georgia)? Is there anything I can do to not make it do that?

It's because the IP address for all BB devices is RIMs which is based in Canada. There are ways around this with google, but I can't remember the exact URL. Someone will have it and post soon.

Hope this helps.

It has to do with the way the Blackberry routes you internet access. I think there are some servers in America, but it seems it's mostly through canada.

Therexxx8217;s nothing wrong with being Canadian! It's a wonderful country!

Just my two cents Canadian.... .... ... which works out to be 3x beers, 2x canoes and 1x flying squirrel in US dollars.
