Remove the battery for 30 seconds, then put it back in and let the device boot up. That's the hard reboot for the 71xx series.

Thanks....I want to WIPE everything out and off of it...all my emails, etc...a full format and reset....

I think I need to do more than just the battery....

Yes, to wipe all the data you can go into Options / Security Options / General Settings. From there click the wheel to get the menu and click on Wipe Handheld. This will remove all data and reset the firewall. This does not delete any 3rd party apps you've installed.

If you want to do a full reset including removal of programs, you need to reinstall the Berry OS from your PC and choose NOT to backup everything.

the easiest and most sure way is to get the JL_Cmdr from this forum and use option 5.
