I recently bought a unlocked 7100t (t-mobile). Upon installation of the Desktop manager 4.1, it asked me to upgrade the core components in the phone to the latest version. My question went unanswered for almost the complete day here. My phone was in the 4.02 version!!

I decided to upgrade the phone. Well...what do you know....I was successful!! My phone still works (unlocked) and uses the cingular network.
