PIN is a number unique to every blackberry go to options>status and you will see your pin number in there. You can use this to communicate from blackberry to blackberry instantly, works much like an e-mail but only for blackberry...

PIN stands for Personal Identification Number (I believe). There are several ways to find your PIN, an easy one is to plug in your BB and go to Desktop Manager, options and connection settings. You may have to click "detect."

BB Messenger uses PIN to PIN communication as well. Was a mall this weekend and had no cell phone service....and i couldn't find my girlfriend(she has a 8700c as well)....used BB Messenger(pin to pin) to find her...

I think it's great...another mode of communication is all.....but only to BB to BB.
