I have an un-locked 8700g. I will be moving to China soon. If I sign up with China Mobile's Blackberry plan, would it work on its network? I went to China Mobile website and was trying to find out their rate for Blackberry plans but of course everything is in Chinese.

Is anyone out there who is subscribed to the China Mobile's Blackberry? How much is their unlimited data plan?

Hi, China Mobile does not support its own Blackberry plan at this time (nor does any other providor). It does support GPRS so you can get an unlimited Blackberry International plan from Cingular and have your US Blackberry plan working here. I have a Cingular 8700c in roaming mode here in Beijing and get my US corporate and personal mails without any problem. You will need to get the unlimited BB International plan from your provider to make this work.

I am using the OS from CSL (Hong Kong) to enter and display Chinese characters.

I use another cell phone with local number for local calls. Roaming calls can add up very quickly!
