I figured, what the heck, and installed Yahoo Messenger on my 8700c. I figured it wouldn't connect, and of course, it doesn't. Odd thing is though, I deleted it via the handset itself, it doesn't show as an installed application via the BlackBerry Desktop software, and yet, it's still there (not just the icon). I've pulled the battery/re-started the phone, and still there. So how does one remove "hidden" apps?

Have you tried this from the BB device:

Options - Advanced Options - Applications - Press track wheel - Modules - Search for the app and delete it there?

That was it! Thank you very much. I had deleted it from Applications, but there was an associated module as well. Again, thanks! That one had me beat!

Does anybody know the module names that are associated with Yahoo!Messenger. I too am trying to delete it from my 7130e, but the icon is still there.

I guess I should mention the icon links to the web to download. I just want to get rid of this icon. Yahoo!Messenger has never actually been installed on my handheld.

Have you tried pulling the battery (hard reboot) and leave it out for 30 sec???

I found it in the "Service Book" section. It was just a module for a link to Yahoo!Messenger. So I deleted the service book, and viola the icon disappeared.
