I have BIS 2.0 setup with IMAP. The IMAP account is on an Exchange email server. The client is Outlook 2003.

When I receive a message to my Outlook and BB 8700c and read and respond to the message in Outlook I almost always get the ORIGINAL EMAIL I received sent again to my BB. In other words, it dupes the original message received -- not the message I send/respond with.

A friend of mine has the same issue with his Verizon BB -- different model -- and his BIS 2.0 IMAP account on an Exchange server.

Any ideas?

This happens to me too. All I can think is that Exchange updates the timestamps on the emails and then the BIS picks it up as a "new" email.

Any ideas on how to resovle this? Is there a magic setting in Exchange?

True syncing only happens with BES. BIS, no matter the server type, no matter the protocol, doesn't offer what BES offers.
