I've ran through the verichat & yak-on already with the free trials. I'm trying to get the im+ to work but it seems i only have the wap version on my bb..but it says the regular version is recommended..how do i get the im+ regular version to work and is there any other free instant messaging services i could use????

Google Talk is free as is Yahoo IM and Ramble (aim client).

Do a search and you will find the download links for each.
