Default 8700 Covertec Cases for sale, a sad story...

Please Login to Remove!

After owning my Blackberry for a mere 8 days I just could not stand T-Mobiles customer service or lack there of. We were without voicemail after day 2 and it was down for 5 days. Since this is my business line and I rely on VM to help with the call load it was a major pain. So back to Sprint I go and now I own 2 Treo 700p's. I must admit I believe the 8700 is a better format and GUI. Maybe in the next two years of Sprint something will evolve that allows me to return again?

So in the time it took to decide to cancel T-mobile I had had ordered two cases from Covertec. One is red, the other is black. They both retail for $40 each. I will sell them for $38 each and I will ship them to you for free. Covertec is based in France and the shipping is about the same to return them as to sell them to someone here. So if I have any takers in the next 48 hours I will not return them. Its a chance for someone to save a couple of $$.

If you like Sprint better, why not get a BlackBerry from them?

I really like the 8700 and it is not available here yet. The Treo is not so bad anyway.

The Sprint store here is Austin had the 8700 on display (if my memory serves me right)? If not, the rumor I've heard is that they are going to have them next month!

Default Do Not Buy Covertec 8700 Case

Purchased two Covertec 8700 Series straight from France last July 10, 2006.

Big Mistake!

Both items' magnet does not make my BB8700 sleep or too weak.
Contacted the vendor.. sent it back.. and until now have not heard anything from them.

I used to own the Covertec 7520 and was happy with the quality and performance of it, which has led me to purchase two for my BB 8700. BIG MISTAKE!!!

Quality is not the same. Magnet is of poor quality and very weak. The Red one that I purchased from them does 100% NOT work at all, even if I press it hard or adjust to or move around to hit the sleeping function of the 8700.

The Black one does work, but I had to manuever it from one position to another to keep my bb 8700 sleep. One adjustment.. it wakes it up. Much more if you insert one card inside the Pocket slot.. the BB would never sleep and that's because of the weak magnet.

I would definitely give this Case a 1 out of 5

DO NOT BUY THIS!
Not even worth it.
