Default Negative Message Count!!???WTF!?

Please Login to Remove!

Forgive me if this has been asked...but has anyone else ever had negative numbers next to their (gmail) inbox (zen theme)? Using bis 2.0.

Ya, this ain't new. Been having this problem ever since Zen was introduced. NJBB thought that the negative number might indicate the number of messages you deleted.

Does everyone on bis 2.0 (cingular) have options like this in the email reconciliation menu:

"""@mycingular.blackberry.net
Then I have Gmail
Then I have webclient

I only have a gmail account set up...besides my blackberry.net account.

why the three choices?

web client was for BIS 1.8 - you can delete this service book if you don't want to forward or reply to emails you got before you upgraded

I have never encountered this until today, and now, one account shows -1 messages. Don't use Zen, though it among the themes I have installed. I just deleted dozens of messages, and the count still shows -1. Something odd is happening.

I've got -36 on one of my accounts. I just use the centralized message button and that doesn't show any negative numbers.

I believe I can re-create this scenario on demand now:

Receive new messages on mail server. Leave them "as new" on the BlackBerry. Now, delete or move the messages on the server to a new folder. *Now*, on the BlackBerry, mark the message as opened or delete it. This seems to result in the count going negative. In the reverse order, I don't see this happening.

pulling the battery clears the number until you delete again. not a full fix but works for the time being

word, good looking out...

but since i started running ZEN about 2-3 weeks ago, i've been deleting my GMAIL messages as i get them, and respond to them, and i didn't get this negative count until today... is this also normal???

ps... i did SEARCH and this thread is what i found...

EDIT: battery removed DEF worked... i'm just confused as to what may cause this??? if i get stupid messages from like eBay, some of my other forums, i delete them without opening and usually my message count would just go to ZERO... that -1 crap threw me for a loop!!!
