Default Best Outliner or List program

Please Login to Remove!

Coming from a Palm, there seems to be a real dearth of outliner/listing programs on the BB. I've just given PDLists a try but it really seems flaky and not ready for prime time. Web-based listers like "tadalist.com" have trouble working in the BB browser.

What are people out there using for credible BB-based outliners/list programs?

Thanks

I'm surprised you're having trouble with pdlists. I had the beta and it worked well and seems to get some good feedback here. Might want to try contacting the developer.

I use idexMatrix by Welcome to REXwireless! although I liked pdlists, I like ideaMatrix better and it was available first.

What issues did you have with PD Lists? Any suggestions to make it better?

Default re PDLists

crs et al

My problem with PDLists (v1.3) at this time (with my setup - 8700) is that it is flaky. I get Java errors when PDLists is integrated with (and scrolled through) in PocketDay. It could be partly my fault but I have also had some lists simply disappear on me. v1.3 is better but I still do not have 100%confidence. To back up, I email lists to myself.

One thing I'd really like is just a simple check-box list of TO DO items but I'd like some items to have sub-sections which could be expanded/collapsed at will. So far, I cannot figure out how to add sub-sections to a simple list. Maybe I am missing something here.

Also, the section name (has little drawer or folder icon)/list name thing has me baffled. I'm thinking I should be able to "put or place" a list into a section and then when I move that section up or down, that list should move with the section - right? Does not happen for me. From my perspective, the section names are no more than line dividers.

Coming from a Palm, I miss the ease of creating such lists in say, applications like ShadowPlan.

I looked at the idexmatrix website - very confusing. No where do they give you any idea of what the interface looks like or the feature set. Frustrating for a potential customer.

Though pricy, has anyone tried NextAction?

Download the ideaMartix trial if you're interested. The documentation is on their web site too.

You can go to the BBF Reviews section and see reviews that I have done for all three to do applications.

Best of luck,

Default Found it ...

Exactly what I have been looking for ...
(Thanks mgerbasio and coreyg510)

I think ToDoMatrix is it!! I wanted something that also could be tailored to the GTD philosophy of using tags. This application really rocks - how could I have missed it? With the promised upcoming web desktop solution, it will be hard to beat. And the free NewHawkPro really sealed the deal for me. Bought it within 20 mins of downloading it.

Now my BB8700 finally has something to rival equivalent apps on a Palm.

Thank you everyone for pointing me in the right direction.
