Please Login to Remove!

I just bought the 8700C. The instructions say to scroll to "Individual E-mail Account" I do NOT have that option on my blackberry. Am I missing something??? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan on your account?

Go into Options / Advanced Options and select Host Routing Table.
Click the wheel and select "Register Now" and see if that helps.

Id suggest either going to Host Routing Tables, and selecting one of the Cingular ones to have it reconnect to the network and resend info or call CS and have the do it...

That happened to me when I got my 8700g from a Tmo store...

You don't need to select any particular HRT; anyone will do.

gugshie - does it show GPRS at the top of the screen (and not gprs)?

That did not seem to work. On the main page under the time it says "Data connection refused"

Data Connection Refused means that your account is not set up properly. Call Cingular and ask them to check the provisioning on your account. You must have the BlackBerry Data Plan - not MediaWorks or some other GPRS plan - for the BB to work.

Wirelessly posted (Cingular 7130c: BlackBerry7130/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

The 8700 should show EDGE if I'm not mistaken.

Correct - I confused him with someone who had a 7290 problem.

Doesn't really matter - with Data Connection Refused he can't connect to the RIM infrastructure anyway.

True. It doesn't matter what it says if it says data connection refused.
