Are any different or better browsers available for the 8700g than the one it comes with?

Opera Mini is a different browser. Best obtained over the air (OTA) at http://mini.opera.com

I'm not a big fan of Operamini. Unless I am missing something, i doesn't play too nice with the BB8700. The keyboard doesn't work as well as it does with the BB browser and you constantly hav to click on an editable field to bring up a text box and then type. Kind of annoying.

Yes the text boxes can get annoying, but the graphics are better...
