Im looking to change the actual casing that came on my BB 8700c. (NOT the clip-on holster or any kid of protective case, the actual factory installed casing)

I have an 8700c through T Mobile, love the phone, love the service, but I hate this navy blue color and Id love to change it.

Anyone ever seen / purchased / installed any kind of OEM shell casing for the BB 8700c?

I am going to paint mine. The only thing out now is a replacement case... Same color and everything just new. There is a custom painted one a few posts down.

I saw the painted one, it looks great, but I am not interested in that for myself...

I would even buy a replacement black case or the lighter colored one from Cingular.

well, im interested in painting mine BB8700g also. But I just wonder where and how much. Anybody has done this?. I like the blue color but I just want to change some new color.....lol

I am going to do it as a DIY. I have already sanded the back. It just takes time. I am looking into good paint to use.

I said this in the thread with the camo BB, but if you want to paint it up right, the best bet is to use Bulldog Adhesion Promoter as your primer, then use automotive urethane enamels for the paint, and finish it off with a two-part automotive urethane clear coat. I highly recommend House of Kolor automotive paints, because they have an incredible range of colors and types of paint, and unlike most automotive paints, they sell them in small quantities for small projects.
