i get confused with the topic of 'reconciling' email. i have gmail that i now know i can have 'pushed', thus negating the need for having my gmail forwarded to my blackberry email address. what is reconciling? im a newbie at this so it may be a dumb question. what i'd love to have is when i read an email (from my gmail account) on my blackberry and then delete it, it would delete it from my gmail account permanently so that when i access gmail through its website on my desktop i dont have to go through again and delete everything. is this what reconciling does? and does blackberry reconcile with gmail?

Is deleting the only way it reconciles? Is that what everyone means when talking about reconcile On Yahoo, if I read it on the BB, it is marked read. On gmail, though, I still have to go into gmail once in a while and mark the messages read, that I had alredy read on the BB. To me, Gmail does not fully reconcile yet like Yahoo does.

I also have my gmail account on my BB8700g through T-Mobile. I wanted to ask if my settings were right.

Message Services: gmail address
delete on: prompt
Wireless Reconcile: on
On Conflicts: mailbox wins

Also, does the mailbox reconcile automatically or should I periodically do the "reconcile now".
