He said text message...
aka, SMS.

What you CAN do, and what I do with my Nextel BB to text my Air Force buds on VZW, is use the phone email address. All carriers have one, for example mine is:

[email address]

This is the best way: and cheaper for you. If ou have a BlackBerry, you have a BB Unlimited plan, and therefore you can send emails all day long at no additional cost.

I do it all the time.

MMS functions in the same manner. I use it daily to communicate with my friends who have regular phones. It works just like 007 & Ryan said, click MMS & either select a number or enter one. Then type your message & send.

Actually you can use xxx-xxx-xxxx@teleflip from the email portion to send to anyone without knowing their carrier. Nextel MMS sucks though imo.
