I sleep with the BB under my pillow so as not to wake my wife when the morning alarm goes off. If I'm nearly awake, I have my hand on it so I can silence the alarm quickly.

I posted once before about a bug where if I scroll the wheel to silence it within perhaps a second of the alarm going off, that the unit powers down and I oversleep -- because I miss the 10 minute snooze (which doesn't happen, since the unit is now off).

Well, today the same thing sort of happened, except instead of turning off, something else -- when I put my hand under my pillow to slience the 10 minute snooze, the unit was hot! The radio was also off, and the battery was in the red and no bars were left. The battery had been nearly full the evening before (perhaps 4 bars). Coincidence that LiIon battery recalls have been in the news lately!

Is there a chance something bad could happen, like fire, or finding my hand between two pillows? "Where is your hand?" "Between two pillows." "THOSE AREN'T PILLOWS!!!"

I have had it since Nov or Dec of 2005. Anyone else had theirs get hot? (the word "hot" appears so many times that searching wasn't very fruitful).
