whats the difference between turnig the phone on quiet and off??

also-got a text from tmoblie saying there was a new ringer...and to go to my profiles and it would be there.....i dont see it with any of the ring tones and not sure how too-they say its a free one??

Turing the phone on quiet mutes the entire profile so you will not be notified of anything that occurs on your phone (unless you create exceptions, i.e. phone calls from wife/gf/bf etc.) Turning the device off literally turns everything off, you will not receive emails, alarm clock will not go off, etc.

I'm not w/TMO so I can not help you on the other issue.
