I'm not sure why so many of the email messages on my Blackberry 8707 are showing 'more available xxx bytes'

I think this is happening with messages sent from outlook...

In message options>general options>auto more = yes.

I've read other threads, and apparently there is nothing we can do about this? is this true?

It's happening to me and I don't use Outlook but it's definately a very common problem with a lot of people. Maybe it's a way for BB to limit bandwidth usage. Only a portion of the email comes through. How many times do you get a message and just delete it without even reading it? Therefor the second half of the message never needs to be sent. Just a thought.

very true. However, it means that you're unable to read the message if you have no wireless coverage.

Are there any settings we can change on the handheld or BES? or have RIM designed the device to work in this manner?

i saw this same message at the very bottom of an email... but, i just highlighted the cursor over where it says "more available xxx bites" and the rest of the message downloaded automatically
