I own the 7100, and the way the keyboard is situated doens't allow you to call numbers that contain words, for example, such as 1-800-NEXTEL. All the letters do not correspond to a number the way normal phones do. For example, normal phones will have the letters ABC on the number 2....DEF on the number 3....etc. But on the 7100, this isn't how the letters are laid out, and I can NOT figure out how call numbers that require me to spell out a word....

Anyone have any suggestions??

When you are typing in the number, hold the ALT key (bottom left) while typing in nextel. Make sure you spell it right though.

On the 7100, yes, hold down the ALT, but you have to use 'multi-tap' to get the 2nd letter on the key. So if you need N, press the BN key twice quickly or you'll only get the B.
