I was trying to upgrade the desktop and handheld S/w to OS 4.0.2.

in the middle of the application backup and delete of old apps and reload, for some reason the USB connection failed.

Now the handheld has no OS ( i think). The desktop cannot see the handheld via USB so.........

is there any way to restore the OS?

Handheld is a BB 7210

Use Javaloader to wipe clean the device then reinstall OS.

1. Download, install and run JL_Cmder to wipe your device.

2. Review the BlackBerryOS 4.x Download FAQ and perform an OS install (or upgrade if you so choose).

3. Review How To - Run Application Loader when the device does not connect if you happen to encounter Error 507

right now i have a 7100t unlocked. If i do a complete wipe of my phone, and install the cingular software (either 4.02 or 4.1) will that software work with the 7100t?

have a working device now.

I have upgraded to Cingular with their SIM however when the BB boots up it does not prompt to enter unlock code which Cingular provided. Any tips?

No prompt, no unlock password required. Set a device password if you so desire.
