I am using an unlocked TMobile 8700g on Cingular, and it works great.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

I love my 8700c I have had no problems what so ever. I have never had probs with cingular. I even bought a aftermarket 8700 and it amazing.

They're the same device as has been mentioned over and over and over and over... If you can get the 8700g unlocked it will work on Cingular's network.
