Default Unlock code for cingular 8700c

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All, I recently bought a cingular BB8700c and returned to South Africa wanting to use it.Can anyone help me to unlock it?

You can either try and call Cingular and ask them for the code, or pay one of the commercial unlockers to get you the code. There are no code generators.

I was going to do the same thing and since you didn't buy the 8700C with a contract, you will most likely not get it unlocked by Cingular. I was told they won't unlock it even with a Cingular contract for the first 3 months under any conditions. Hopefully one of the commercial guys can help you, that is why I ended up shelling out for the 8700V from Vodacom.

Who did you buy it from? Do you still have an account with Cingular?

I bought my 7130c from Cingular and paid full price. I called international CS and they gave me the unlock code over the phone about 25 days after I bought the device.

Whats the reason you can give cingular in order for them to unlock it?
