Default Blackberry 8707 dead Urgent help required

Please Login to Remove!

Hi
my BB 8707 (about 2 months old) just went dead. I have tried taking the battery out and refitting still not working. If i plug in the charger the battery charging indicator comes on but i can't turn on the device, battery was full just before it died.
When i unplug the charger it looks like it may turn on (egg timer graphic) then it goes off.
Going away in 2 days and need it urgently, is there a master reset proceedure just incase it's got it's chips mixed up?

Ok, it appears that the battery was fully exhausted, don't know what did this.
its been on charge for 30mins and has come on again but battery indicator is red and wireless is off. when i turn wireless on it says power too low for wireless.
it appears it is charging now and possibly with more charge will work, however what made it lose all the charge? it was fully charged (over night) sat on my desk for 3 hours and FLAT as a pancake. Not done anything different with it than normal and never had a problem.
A colleague of mine said recently his 8707 kept going flat after a couple of hours and then sorted itself out. Any ideas? Has these been a problem with any other users?

Sometimes bb's will get stuck in constant send/receive mode...which will eat a battery pretty quick..

Also any apps like ramble or googletalk that are on all the time...they eat a lot of battery too.

My 8707 (vodafone Australia) is about 2 months old.
About 5 weeks ago, I took it from the holster - it was very hot and stopped working. I pulled the hot battery out, let it cool and it started OK again.

4 weeks ago I turned it off with about 70% charge on the battery. It would not turn on. Repeated removals of the battery, cleaning the terminals, no luck. Finally, about 3 hours later, I removed and replaced the battery one more time. Voila, it worked. And the battery was still at 70%.

Last night I turned it off, with about 25% battery I guess. This morning it would not switch on at all, until I started charging it, when it had zero charge in it.

No idea what is going on. Three different events. three different symptoms and outcomes. Maybe an internal short circuit?
