Hey,
No sound plays when I get a sms and I went into profile and options etc to change it and it shows its not mute. Any ideas on what to do? All other sounds work great. Ps first day with this phone and love it. Still use to my sidekick 3 keyboard tho lol

May or may not be your problem, but there are two profile settings. One when the device is in the holster and one when it is out of the holster. Make sure you set both of them correctly.

Ok, there are two different settings that can cause there not to be any sound in a profile item. The first it the top-most option under SMS, which lets you chose

None
Tone
Vibrate
Vibrate+Tone

If it is set to None, or Vibrate, you will not hear any sound, no matter what the volume setting.

The next on is the volume

Mute
Low
Medium
High
Escalating

Try setting it to Tone, and High, and see if you still don't get any sound.
