Newbie - please be gentle!

I have an 8700v which worked fine for a while. Recently however it has started locking up whenever I try to access the internet. By this I mean that when I click the Blackberry browser or Vodafone Live icons the device instantly locks up - I have to power it off/on to get it to work again.

Everything else still works fine.

Was thinking of reloading the firmware, but will I lose the configuration on the phone if I do this?

Any suggestions very welcome!

OK, I used the search and one or two people have had this problem, but no solution has been posted.

I downloaded the Desktop Manager and the Handheld software. Deleted the Browser from the heldheld using Setup>Advanced Options>Applications etc. Then reloaded the browser software.

All working fine now.
