Default Question for t-mobile BB users

Please Login to Remove!

If I purchase a BlackBerry and I get the following services:

1000 Minutes for $39.99

and

BlackBerry Unlimited Add-on - 19.99
Add access to BlackBerry's powerful data functionality to a voice rate plan. The BlackBerry Unlimited Add-on includes unlimited BlackBerry Web Client e-mail and Web browsing.

Does this mentioned above include WEB, e-mail and Instant Messaging?

Or if I want Instant messaging on BB I have to buy the following on top of the BlackBerry Unlimited Add-on:
Text, Instant, Picture & Video Messaging
Send and receive short e-mails, text and instant messages (up to 140 characters), and even picture and video messages using your T-Mobile phone! $0.10 per additional domestic text message; $0.25 per additional picture or video message.

Please Help.

Thank you.

I have the unlimited add on and it includes everything. There have not been any additional charges on my monthly bill. I do have unlimited text messages for $9.99 though, but that applies to all of the phones in my family plan also.

Hope that helps.

Does anyone on this forum have it without the unlimited text messages for $9.99, and only have BlackBerry Unlimited Add-on - 19.99???

yup... the $19.99 data plan is just pure data (emailing, internet etc..) if you want AIM and textmessaging your gonna have to have a sms/mms plan. But since I installed yak-on and it uses just data, i lowered my unlimited sms to just 400 and saved me some money :D. But hey, if your gonna use the OZ messaging App.. i'm recommend you buying the unlimited sms because it uses sms not data. Just a friendly advice, and here's another friendly advice.. do not use OZ, get yak-on!

It all depends on how you are going to use IM. I use the RIM Yahoo Messenger IM and the mobile.msn.com MSN Messenger, so I use data for all my IM uses. And if I use AOL (very infrequent), I just use the data one as well. If you are going to use IM through SMS, then you will need some sort of plan to cover the SMS part.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

You have to buy an add on option to use instant messaging. Using the web via the 8700 is free and unlimited with the Blackberry Unlimited option. You also have unlimited incoming and outgoing emails.

ecidood, I have TM 39.99 plan but I have 650 minutes and free nights & weekends. I also have the BB addon plan for 19.99...my bill comes to just under $70.00 a month (unless I send out text mesages or something). Instant messaging is extra but if you get BB Messenger (allows you to instant message other BB owners) OR Yahoo Messenger made especially for RIM then those are free. I think Googletalk is also free but I don't use that so you can check on that.

Default AOL Messenger/Yahoo Messenger free on data plan?

Hi there,
Ahh ..I was wondering about this...i've talked to various T-Mobile reps and none of them seem to be able to give me a definate answer on whether the Yahoo Messenger and the AOL Messenger would be using text messaging or data (I have the 600mins/unlimited Blackberry Add-On but no free text message plan).
Is there any way I can be SURE I get the correct version's of these 2 programs so that it doesn't use text messaging (and thus cost me a bundle)?

Thanks!

Diana
