hi
i bought a 7230 of a friend a week ago and when i went to register the device with my BIS it came up with the "this device is already registered"
so i spoke to tech support at vodafone who said he should be able to de-register the device from his account thus allowing me to registaer it with my BIS
is this right and can anybody give any advice on how to get this done as i seem to be getting no-where and without being able to do this the BB seems useless, any help much appreciated

Yes Vodafone is exactly right, The PIN and IMEI need to be deactivated by the previous user. Welcome to the secure world of the BlackBerry.
