8700c battery icon will not boot.
 

I have an 8700c that shows the incompatible battery icon now. It was working fine for the past week with the same battery. Even with a new fresh battery or plugged into the wall I get the same icon. Any ideas??

That happened to me a once when I first got my 8700. I took the battery out and placed it back in, and all was fine. I assume you have done that since you said you have a fresh battery, and are making sure you have in correctly.

claim warranty if you can, dont even mess with the thing

yeah as postal said dont mess with anything because if you mess something up they wont let you claim warranty

Make sure none of the spring loaded wires that connect to the battery are bent or broken.
