Default 8700 Gmail issues...

Please Login to Remove!

n00b question- I'm sorry!

Just got my 8700 and I love it!

I'm syncing with my gmail account via POP, and am hapilly recieving my messages.

Just wondering, though- When I read messages on my blackberry, or delete them from inbox and device, they're still there unread in my gmail inbox!

and ideas on how I can get them to appear unread, and deleted if I delete them on my bb?

Please tell me if this is possible!

Many thanks-

Don't use pop. Click on the "setup internet email" icon and enter your gmail address and password. This should set it up so that it is true push rather than pop and should fix your reconciliation issues. Also, you can try searching for this topic as there are a bunch of threads that talk about how to do this in more detail.

if your in BIS 2.1 (depends on your carrier) then you'll have the delete option - you delete on your handheld and it deletes from Gmail

however Gmail doesn't do read/unread - at least not yet
