I just got a Blackberry and I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. I know I don't have a plan, so the only thing I can do is voice and sms. On the phone, I keep getting, data connection refused, and theres this button called Enterprise Activation. what am I supposed to do with these?and is there a way to use the programs like 411 on my phone without having to subscribe for a blackberry plan?and also, when I try to access the browser, It says that the device does not have any browser configuration service book entries..

Browsers won't work because you don't have a data plan. Berry411 won't work because you don't have a data plan. Emails won't show up on your device because you don't have a data plan. Theme here is to get a data plan.

Data connection refused is caused because.... you guessed it, no data plan. Enterprise Activation is for BES Email, which you don't have to worry about right now because you don't have a data plan..

No data plan? No browser, no e-mail, no Berry411 or 412 or anything else. Voice and SMS.

Enterprise Activation - only for those using a BlackBerry Enterprise Server with a (you guessed it) BlackBerry Data Plan.

Lol, that sucks.. With my regular plan, how much extra is the blackberry plan? Also, will trying to access the AIm services or any internet related applications be charged as airtime? And is there any way to get rid of the Enterprise activation button?

Unlimited data on TMO is either 19.99 a month or 29.99, I can't remember. You'll be charged a lot if you try to access these programs without a data plan.

To hide that icon hold down alt (lower left hand corner on keypad) and push the track wheel, you'll see and option to hide it.

I don't think so but if there is it's going to be hella cost involved. Way more than getting the data plan. Don't deprive yourself, get a data plan, use the BB to it's full potential.

Did you setup AIM mobile on the web? If so remove your phone's info from that. Even if you didn't set up the bb, if you set up the phone number before, for an old phone, you'll have this problem.

Otherwise I'm not sure.

BIS on Tmo is currently $29.99/mo unless you started before the price hike. W/o the data plan you won't be able to get anything other thasn voice and SMS. Even crappy t-zones isn't available w/o a data plan.
