Default 7290 OS 4.1 email folder question

sorry if it has been asked, I did search for it, but could not find any relavent posts. In the new OS 4.1 I have seperate folders for my emails. Way cool. When I scroll over each one it lists the email address. But the default shows a (-11) after it. This number has been increasing and I do not know what it is or what it means. Can anyone help. Oh yes, Tmobile customer.
