Wow, almost every single thread about a mysterious symbol is for a push service but I haven't seen a symbol like that. I'll still go the tried and true path, have you used any push services?

That means you have location on beyond just the 911 check under your options if you want to turn it off

Push service such as weather, sports, stock. You would have had to set it up but it will push you a message reagarding the topic you chose.

I just went to options and changed the option to "911 Only". The ))) symbol went away but I still have the "o" symbol below the signal strength. Do all 7250s have that symbol below the signal strength at all times?

It looks like a circle with a crosshair in the center.

That's the symobol for location based services. Without the lines coming off of it, you've only get them enabled for 911.

It depends on the carrier if you have location based services.
Verizon has options to be able to look up the location of phones (as does Nextel), which is great for a teenager or contantly late deliveryman.
911 only means that only a 911 center that had cell capability can locate you.

Can I look up on the internet the location of my phone? If so, how? Do you pay extra for location base service? Can I go online to Verizon and find out if I have this service?
