|  Blackberry 7230 Sim card Full error

I am having an issue with 2 Blackberry 7230 devices, they keep saying SIM card full, and there are no sms messages or email within messages on the devices.
I have spoken to vodafone and they havent seen this at all, I even put the sim card into a mobile (cell) phone and cleared out old sms messages that were in here to try and solve the issue.
The maximum SMS messages are about 7, I have changed under Options, SMS "Number of previous items to more than 7, made it 50) but it has made no difference.
Anyone got any ideas please?
