Is there any way to set up the blackberry 7230 to automatically delete anything that is 3 months old (or a similar date)?

For email messages go to Messages > Options > General Settings. Change Keep Messages to desired length of time (15, 30, 60, 90, or forever).

For calendar appointments fo to Calendar > Options. Change Keep Appointments to desired length of time (same options as email)

Quick question - will this delete them from the server as well? I only want them to delete from just the blackberry - 4.0 software (wireless synch).

It should only delete it from the blackberry, because when you delete things off the blackberry they stay on the server.
