Hello....I'm a new user, amd I just want to say how amazing this site is. It has helped me immensely with my transition into the world of BB. Kudos!!! Anyway, I live in the US (NYC), and I'm currently getting service from T-Mobile. I'm thinking of purchasing an unlocked BlackBerry 8707v, which is a model that RIM has released in the UK for Vodaphone. (I guess it's cool that it has 3-G, but I really like the look of it...and none of my friends have one
) So I've been doing some research on the 8707v and it's a quad band phone (850/900/1800/1900), and it uses GSMTM, and GPRS. The rep at T-mobile says that based on that info, it should be compatible with T-Mobile service, and all functions should run normally. So I'm hoping to get the device and just put my T-Mobile SIM in it. Does anybody have any advice for me before I make this purchase? Any cautions, warnings, experiences, etc. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks so much in advance.
