This has been bugging me for awhile and I still cant figure it out. The ringtones that came on the 7100i suck and the only one that was decent was the classic ring. Every once in awhile now my phone will start ringing and both the "classic ringtone" and the normal nextel ring(the ring on the nextel commericlas) will play at the same time. I want just the normal nextel ring but cant find it on my phone. Am I crazy?

Not sure what your talking about when you are talking about the "nextel ring" never heard of that. I use the Tune_Calypso. Its loud and one of the ones that sound decent.

Yea i dont know how to explain it. Most nextel phones come with it. Its an actual ring and not like the shitty ones the 7100i gets. The wierd part is sometimes my phone does this ring but the ring is not under "show tunes" Its a conspiracy!!

Don't know about the Nextel tone but my new 7100i started double ringing both the Classic and the Profile ring that I had set. The Nextel repair gal said this is common but they don't know what causes it. She took the battery out and reinstalled it and the extra ring went away!

This just started to happen to me. This is very odd because the "classic" ring tone does not exist on the phone.

Frankly, I don't mind if both ringtones ring but I cannot have the phone ring during Vibrate mode, which it is doing. I will call Nextel, I guess.

I uploaded those to my phone after updating the OS and they work great!

Your phone may be using the classic ringer because you might set an exception accidentally. I have done this myself.
