Default Text from PC to outgoing BB Email?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I'm a n00b, so please forgive me if this has already been answered. I tried a search but didn't find anything.

I'm a journalist. I want to write a story (plain text) on my PC, connect to the BB 7250 (via USB) and put the text directly into an outgoing email. If I could have the story go into Draft, that would be ideal.

I have Microsoft Office with full Outlook, though I only use Outlook for the Blackberry.

Verizon says the way to do this is put the text in Outlook's Notes, use the Desktop Manager to sync to Memos on the BB, highlight the text of the Memo on the 7250 and paste it into an outgoing email. (Desktop Manager won't sync folders from Outlook like Drafts or Outbox.)

I'm not on BES.

This is very time-consuming, and it seems there's a length limit either in Memos or outgoing email because I usually have to send two halves of the story. Also, it makes my thumb hurt to do all that highlighting.

Is there a simpler way to cut-and-paste plain text typed on the PC into an outgoing email?

I have seen the instructions for using the BB as tethered modem, but I'd like to do something less drastic if possible.

Thanks for any help.
