I have a Blackberry from Canada. it has a valid pin and is unlocked. Can i use this blackberry with the blackberry services provided from China/HK when i'm there?
If so, does anyone know what companies are the best in China for Blackberry service?

The easiest way is to get an unlimited International Blackberry data support from your Canadian provider and roam in China. China Mobile supports GPRS level Blackberry roaming support for Cingular (which is what I have). Currently no service provider in China provides direct Blackberry service except CSL in Hong Kong.

I maybe wrong but even if they do have Blackberry service, you will need to re-do the Blackberry enterprise activation and the rest of the set up using the local providor's SIM, not worth the effort and headache as you'll have to change it back when you return to Canada.

Short term: (1 month)
Data: Use Canadian Blackberry plan,
Phone: Get a local China/HK prepaid sim and a cheap phone (in china $75 USD is good)
Long term (1 year)
Data and Phone : Use Hong Kong CSL plane, cheaper than Roger's,

Sorry, I should've provided more details when posting my original message. I would like to purchase a secondhand 8700 series Blackberry from Canada that's unlocked and has a valid PIN. I would like to bring it to HK/China and use it there permanently. I guess my questions are the following:

1) Are BB PINs universally recognized so that whichever phone/BB service provider I go with there should not have any issues hooking me up to their local BB enterprise server (will I be able to receive emails)?

2) What other requirements am I looking for in this BB so that I can use it in HK/China, other than a valid PIN? IMEI?

Bascially, I need to know whether this BB will enable me to use it to its full capacity in HK/China. I should be subscribing with Smartone in HK and China Mobility in China.
