Default Lookup not displaying all Active Directory content

Hello. I am relatively new to using BlackBerry's and have ran into a problem between our company's BlackBerrys and Active Directory.

We are running a Blackberry Enterprise server and when I perform a lookup, I don't receive all of the contact information that is listed out in Active Directory. My AD account has my desk phone, cell phone, fax, and other numbers, but it doesn't seem to pull that info. It only pulls my email address, pin number, and address. Is there a setting in the server or on each Blackberry that needs to be set to pull all contact info from Active Directory?

Wouldn't this depend on what e-mail application you're using at work? My company uses Lotus Notes and Lotus has its own account information that has nothing to do, nor does it sync, with AD. Any user information entered in Lotus would be available by doing a lookup.

Talk to your BES guys and make sure they've set up the right GAL bindings. Also it may depend if your GAL is populated by some secondary system, like an external LDAP, as opposed to all within the AD. Check your BES guys first. -Pk

AFAIK lookup accesses the GAL, not AD. As packetknife said, the information in the two isn't necessarily the same.

can you elaborate on this? Isn't this something that can be done in the registry? Just want to be sure, because I have this problem sometimes too.

and I get weird errors, in the logs.
