I just purchased a supposedly new 7230 from ebay. I installed my SIM card from my other phone; have charged-up the unit using the USB cable; and have installed the desktop manager.
When the unit is plugged in via USB, I get a red flashing light, about every 6 seconds. This only happens when the unit is turned OFF and charging.
I do NOT have messages or voicemails waiting to be opened.
When the unit is turned ON and plugged in via USB, I have no LED indicator whatsoever.
When the unit is turned ON and free from USB connection, there is no LED indicator whatsoever. I do have signal and can make calls.
I have never seen the light turn green. The only way I knew that the battery was charged was by going into options and checking.
Any clues about the red flashing LED and/or the lack of green?
I want to know if this thing works properly before actually calling t-mobile to add BB service. Right now it's phone only.
