Default Shortcuts aren't working

Please Login to Remove!

Used to be that I could press K for lock, L for calendar, etc from the homescreen.

a few days ago, they stopped working. any ideas? I just blew away everything on the phone, went back to Tmobile 284 OS and still nothing.

so...anyone know why this happened? anyway to fix it?

You need to turn off "Dial from Home Screen" in the Phone->Options

...very strange! I've never been able to use 'shortcuts' on my 8700 (Zen Theme) unless I turned off the 'dial from home screen option'...

hmm.....I was able to, like I said. I loved it. And after they stopped working, I changed themes to Dimension and they worked again...for about 10 minutes. And I kept changing themes hoping it would end up working again, but no dice.

I'm now using the shortcuts w/o dial from home screen, I suppose I'll just have to get used to it, although I loved having both.

if anyone figures out how to get it to work (again), I sure hope they post it
