Unhappy 8700c - Desktop Software Help Needed. TIA!!!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi. I'm trying to install an 8700c on another PC, the Desktop Manager is missing the Application Loader, why?!?! First I installed Desktop Manager (v4.1.0.8) and then I tried to install the 8700c Upgrade for Cingular v4.1.0.194. Did not resolve the missing Loader issue... What's wrong? Please help! TIA

Did you install the Desktop Manager or Device Manager? Device Manager does not include the AppLoader, but the handheld software itself contains AppLoader. Long story short, you dont need Desktop Manager installed to update the handheld software.

Try launching AppLoader directly "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\Loader.exe"

Thanx
Basically I lost the original CD, so I've downloaded 2 files from RIM: Desktop Manager (41011dt-English.zip) and Handheld Software (8700E_PBr4[1].1.0_rel175_PL2.0.0.90_A4.1.0.194_Cingular.exe). I installed both and when I run Desktop Manager it only shows: 'Backup and Restore', 'Intellisync' and Redirector Settings. Where the hell is the 'Application Loader'??? I tried to look inside the RIM folder and I cannot find it there! There's LoaderLaunch.dll, loaderto.cnt and a LOADER help file. Nothing else related to App Loader. What's happening? I'm going nuts!!!
