My 7100 blackberry was previously showing erro 507 (after 10 attempts of wrong password). I have tried to run the Application Loader, however, it failed reach the Handheld Application Selection screen. After my attemp to run the Application Loader, my handheld is now showing blank white screen.

I believe error 507 means there is no OS on your device. You're going to have to reload a new OS. There are a few FAQ threads in this forum on now to load a new OS.

You will need to go to your carrier's download page for the BlackBerry software before running through application loader. After you download the handheld software, you will install it on your computer, and then run through application loader.

Who is your 7100 with?

You can run *any* version of the 7100/7105 software (except the Nextel based 7100) on the 7100. Just make sure you delete VENDOR.XML from your PC C: drive before you try to install it.

Two of them? Really. Erase them both.
You need to erase vendor.xml before starting Desktop Manager.

Default Vendor XML

Can i know what is the reason of deleting the Vendor XML file?

I'm using Version 4.1.1.9 Blackberry Desktop Manager and will be using 7100c from the same carrier, is it still necessary to remove the file?

Only if it says there is no system software available.

Default Vendor XML

I guess the reason behind removing / deleting the Vendor XML is because, If Vendor.xml is not found, the application Loader will select the handheld software with the highest version number that applies to the handheld.

Correct. Regardless of carrier because you deleted the file that identifies the device and software by carrier.
