Default Transfer Photos from camera phone to Blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

I tried the new 8100 but it is much too crowded for me, so I am back to my good old 8700. Since I need to send photos and I do not want another email account on a camera phone, I wonder if I can transfer photos from camera phone (or just a digital camera) to blackberry via cable?

Default Don't think so

Not to my knowledge, but from a camera phone with data service you could MMS the pictures to your Blackberry. The new verion of OS, 4.2, due out later this year or early next year will have a media transfer facility through the desktop manager like the Pearl does. Hope this helps.

i can't wait to upgrade my new 8700g to os 4.2 (if they would make it available for 8700g at all). it is so much easier to transfer the existing pictures from my PC / other cell phone to the BB.

Just remember that without any expansion slot, the 8700 has a limited amount of memory for pictures, ringtones, etc. 64MB total BEFORE OS, applications and data. Maybe 30MB free.
