I called about 11pm, 4hrs after it was activated to see what was up. I was put up to level 2 support and he checked and said my account was active with RIM/Blackberry (whoever the email goes through) He didn't know why I couldn't set it up but in the end just said "wait til the morning." So this morning I tried aagain and still no luck.
Does it really take 24-72hrs? (Guy at level 2 said up to 72, not 48) I guess I just find it hard to believe that it takes this long. When I try it from the BB or the website all I get is "an error occurred, please try again later."
Maybe it really does just take this long.
I got my 8700g on Sunday and I called the TMO to add the data plan right the way. He told me it would take up to 72 hrs to activate the service. However, I was able to log into the tmo website and I could setup the email from the tmo website.
However, I did not try to set it up thru my bb internet browser. Additionally, did you check your TCP/IP setting? for some reasons, I had to put the followings in order to get the mini opera working. Oh well, it seems it might be off-topic discussion
